Keith and Lisa Hanes started repairing damaged
furniture in an outbuilding behind their
residence around 1983. Both had worked in the furniture industry for many
years and were
well-trained in all aspects of furniture production.
In 1989 they moved into a building in Denton and
turned their salvaging skills into a full-time business.
Keith and Lisa have grown this
family enterprise into a very busy Discount
Furniture Sales and Recovery Business. In addition to the
repaired pieces that they still sell at considerable discounts, they buy
showroom items from the nearby International
Furniture Market at reduced prices, which they pass on to their
customers. They also purchase manufacturer's closeouts and overruns that
provide significant savings to furniture shoppers.
Beefy's has developed buying relationships with most major furniture
companies and can order any piece that a customer desires, often at a price that
is less than competitors.
With room to really work in Denton,
Beefy's added full manufacture of 3
styles in-house. Unlike many furniture producers, they still build solid
oak frames, use complete drop-in units and put a 5th leg on sofas for added
support and longevity without sagging.
Meticulous attention to detail and quality standards makes
Beefy's
repaired
and manufactured pieces second to none. Discount pricing brings customers
from across the East Coast.
Their philosophy:
"We do not make a
lot of money off of one person,
we make a little money off of a lot of people."
